Home Secretarial Services is an organization of home-based secretaries, serving many communities and was established in 1985. Each secretary works independently offering different services at different prices. As an independent contractor, each secretary works as his or her own boss, in their own business. Upon membership to our team, and filling out our membership profile (for customer/secretary compatibility) we will send to you, via telephone, referred customers. These referrals are a direct response to our advertising, so we cannot guarantee the amount of calls. Also, because of our networking team you will receive calls, not just from Home Secretarial Services, but from the other secretaries on the team. MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS Membership benefits include:
Requirements and recommendations: We recommend that each secretary be familiar with their own computer and today's most used software. We also recommend that you have at least two years experience in secretarial or administrative assistance position and are familiar in the areas that you wish to advertise with us in. We do not require that you have a business license to join. However, we recommend that you have one if it is needed in your area. Please visit your local city clerk's office for more information. Upon joining, you must fill out:
USA Secretaries: Because you are working as an independent contractor, you will probably have to pay estimated taxes quarterly. You should receive forms 1099 from any clients who pay you over $600 yearly (your customer may ask you for your Social Security number). You may need to fill out Schedule "C" from the IRS. Other countries may require other tax related forms. Our privacy policy: Information Collection, Use, and Sharing We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone. We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request, e.g. to ship an order. Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about specials, new products or services, or changes to this privacy policy.
